First, let me say I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Smashbox's JetSet eyeliner for lining the inner rims. That coupled with my LM covered eyeliner brush and I'm a happy camper. However, I recently got sucked into a presentation QVC of the Tarte EmphasEYE eyeliner. This is designed as the Smashbox, to be used on the inner rims, although it is an extremely thin pencil, vs. in a pot. I was very intrigued and decided that I wanted to try, as 1 pencil is easier to throw in a bag, vs. an eyeliner pot and brush.

I'm testing driving the EmphasEYE today and it is probably the worst pencil I have ever used. First of all, while it somewhat glides on my hand, I have to press very hard on my inner rims, to even get just a little of this to show up. It is nowhere near as black as JetSet. This also wears very badly. After 1/2 hour I ended up with a big black ugly mess under my eyes and in the corners of my eyes too.

If you were at all ever curious about this pencil, quickly run the other way. If you are interested in a liner for the inner rims of your eyes, get the JetSet, I truly believe it is the best on the market for this purpose
