This is that great combination of a product which has unbelievable packaging AND has great performance! It's a "book" (basically a palette that has a hidden magnetic closure that actually has a spine like a real hard cover book). Inside it has a mirror, 50 blotting sheets, and a mattifying powder along with a wide brush. It's so completely adorable! I haven't used blotting sheets in a long time ( I had actually fogotten how handy they are!). With my oily skin, I really did see a great amount of shine reduced on my nose and forehead. As for the powder, it's white in color, and I was a little concerned that it might leave my skin looking "ashy" or grey, but I was pleasantly surprised! I just looked matte and my skin didn't have any grey cast at all. When used in combination, I found that the papers and powder would keep me fresh and matte for about 3 hours (yes that's a big improvement of my usual look during the day!) The powder is nice and light and the coverage is sheer, so with additional applications, it doesn't cake on the skin at all, which is great.

Summer is coming, and so is the warm weather, so I think this will be good for those days when makeup wants to run. Definitely an investment, but for a nice matte look during the day this are absolutely worth every penny! Easy to pack or store in your locker of office as well. P.S. Once the blotting papers run out, you can still use the book, - just refill it with any blot sheets!" (via sephora)
