The comment about "looking like $5 is uncalled for! The cost of the silver, silver chain and labor and of course the markup of the retailer means that it will be quite a bit more than $5 and it certainly doesn't look like $5. These necklaces are either handcut by a very experienced jeweler of cut by a machine that costs a great deal of money!
