Digital allows you more expression with the camera. You're not concerned about film and processing, so you can take pictures like crazy and experiement freely. The XT is lightweight with a good feel in your hands, and decent control placement, so you're not fumbling with controls. You're spending your time shooting, not being concerned with a digital camera. And quality of the images speak for themselves.

This is the perfect camera for social events and for photographing stock as it is lightweight and delivers amazing results. But I have to stop borrowing it...I want my own!

Every picture I take is sharp, clear and detail-rich. Too bad many of my pictures just *shouldn't* have the level of detail this camera is capable of producing. :) Coupled with my Canon 28-135 and my Canon 50mm, I never stop having fun taking countless, occasionally beautiful pictures.

Cheap and light 8 megapixel digicam that I can't live without!

It's faster than my kids. That's been a problem for us. Kids move fast and digital cameras have slow refresh rates. The Rebel takes 4 in a row.

The downside is it has only a 3x optical zoom. We need at least 10x and it turns out another camera is cheaper and more effective than a new lens for this camera. (via donmeek)
