I picked this camera up recently for a very reasonable price and am really enjoying having it around. It travels with me in my backpack and I can pull it out and take a picture when the mood strikes me. It is compact so you can easily carry it with you, the 4x optical zoom is great and it works well and plays well with my computer.

Canon has a reputation for good cameras and the Canon Powershot A590is lives up to that reputation.

This takes beautiful photos and has tons of great settings without being difficult to use. Plenty of automatic setting options for the typical user, but manual options for the more advanced. It's compact and lightweight, but has a nice big LCD preview screen. My favorite is the auto-orientation feature, which senses how you are holding the camera and turns the photo you are reviewing to match -- hold it vertically, the photo will change to be vertical, and vice versa. Very cool. Best camera I've ever had -- I like it even more than the Kodak EasyShares I've owned. (via Amazon.com)
