Pretty darn cool....unless you are trying to go to the bathroom in the dark and the rest of the camp is wondering what the heck you are up to as your hand is going up and down in a rapid manner while you "recharge" your batteries. :-)

When the power goes out and you search in the dark for that flashlight you rarely use, only to discover the batteries are dead. It will be thing of the past with this great invention, also good for the planet.

I like the idea of having no battery but rather giving energy to the LED(uses less power than a bulb) by kinetic rather than potential means. Just shake it and the LED will work for some time. However, a shake every some time interval will be required. Great idea however for emergency usage, outdoor, or in places where you cannot find batteries.
