On my latest trip to Galco's Soda Pop Stop, I decided to try something that was completely different from what I would normally drink. I chose Plantation Style Mint Julep which I have never tried and which, truthfully, sounded a little repulsive. As it turns out this soft drink has a distinct mint jelly flavor. I am not a fan of mint jelly even on lamb, but add the carbonation and a bit of extra sugar and I discovered I do enjoy sipping a cold Plantation Style Mint Julep. I think it would be most refreshing on a hot summer day.

A cool, sparkly, minty drink on a hot summer day. That's what this drink was made for. The phrase "Plantation Style (!)" is a bit off-putting, but the drink itself is delicious. Cool and refreshing, and not terribly sugary. So much better than Sprite/Sierra Mist. Have yourself a sip... you'll end up getting an entire case of this for the summer. (via esh)
