Larry Zgoda’s glass has the ability to transform a door or a window into a work of art. In his early years he followed traditional patterns. But in the late 1970s he began to pursue what he calls “severe geometries,”or shapes and designs suggested by the linear structure of glass itself. Today it is this modern approach, along with intensely focused color and an intriguing mix of materials—glass with wood or with metal—that distinguishes Zgoda’s work. (via Elements of Living)
