The Virgin Suicides (1999)

Such a lovely, lovely movie. My favorite film in Sofia Coppola's girly trilogy is probably "Lost in Translation," but I never get tired of all the gorgeous imagery of "Virgin Suicides." Great soundtrack too.

I was pretty much speechless after I saw this movie = not necessarily in the blown away sense, but in the I really need to reflect sense. As you'll see in this list, I enjoy Sofia Coppola's directing skills and her integration of imagery, lessening of dialogue, and music when presenting a story. This story is extremely haunting and captivating and still leaves me pondering everytime I see it.

First time I was ever introduced to Sofia Coppola. A movie that flew under the radar for the most part but for some reason I fell in love with it. As always with Sofia Coppola's movies there is a fantastic soundtrack.
