I got these to use at school for presentations with my MacBook Pro. I wanted to be able to have the audio heard over the inconvenient and audibly overwhelming swooshing of the air conditioning system. I also didn't want another power cord.
These worked better than I ever imagined. The quality is much better than the internal speakers of the MacBook Pro and they have a separate volume control on the speakers. They take power from the USB port. And, most important, my son thinks they make World of Warcraft even better. (via Untangled Life)
