Paper towels are the ultimate disposable item, right? Well, if you are looking to go a little bit greener, then recycled paper towels are the ticket. In fact, recycled paper everything would be great, but I'll be honest. Seventh Generation's recycled facial tissue and toilet paper are a bit too flimsy for some people (I use them,but I know a few people who won't). The paper towels, on the other hand, are just like other regular (not super-absorbent) paper towels out there.

These paper towels are:

* Hypo-Allergenic
* Unbleached
* Natural Unscented, No dyes

If every household in the U.S. replaced just one roll of 120 sheet virgin fiber paper towels with 100% recycled ones, we could save:

* 1,016,000 trees
* 2,625,000 cubic feet of landfill space, equal to over 3,800 full garbage trucks
* 367 million gallons of water, a year's supply for 2,800 families of four
* And avoid 38,000 tons of emissions

Seventh Generation paper towels are made from 100% recycled paper, with a minimum of 80% post consumer materials. Your choice of our jumbo roll natural paper towels makes an important difference today, and for the next seven generations. Here's how:

Recycling paper prevents unnecessary landfilling of valuable resources. In addition to saving trees, producing recycled paper uses less energy and water than paper made from trees. Post-consumer materials are those we recycle from our homes and offices which would otherwise be placed into landfills. The natural color of these paper towels comes from the mix of colors in the newspaper, cardboard and phone books recycled into this product. These materials often end up in landfills because there is insufficient demand for them. By reusing them in their products, we put them to work, not into the ground, and help "close the loop" to encourage more recycling and less waste of valuable resources. Jumbo Rolls reduce waste by utilizing less packaging per sheet and fewer cores than regular rolls. The compressed rolls allow more products to be shipped on each truck, thereby reducing pollution and fuel consumption. (via drugstore.com)
