you know how kids never forget things. things they wanted that no one ever got for them. because i come from a family of artists and art buffs, my nostalgia is theatrical.

back in the day my whole family went to go see this play and left me behind because i was too young. i was bitterly jealous. the name of the play: black and blue.

so now i figure, get my own black and blue dress, make them all jealous of me.

(btw, black and blue choreographed by fayard nicholas, brother of harold nicholas who was the first husband of the dashing and daring dorothy dandridge)
