Gearing up for summer? I recommend stashing a tube of Neutrogena Skin Aid. It's a multipurpose, all in one, skin protectant/healer.

It's main ingredients are Glycerin (40%), and Pramoxine Hydrochloride (1%). The first is a great all around moisturizer, and the second is an external analgesic/pain reliever. Works great for all sorts of summer-related skin conditions, such as:

Pain
Itch
Minor cuts, scrapes
Minor burns
Irritation, redness
Chapping, cracking
Insect bites, stings
Sunburn
Chafing

It goes on pretty smooth (not as thick as vaseline) and works - I've used it to treat itches and prevent irritation. One thing to note though - it
doesn't contain an antibiotic like Neosporin does. So for big/badly located cuts and stuff, you may want to stick with that or use an antibiotic band-aid.
