You are probably already intimately acquainted with the work of Jerome Robbins . . . although you may not immediately recognize the name. The choreographic engineer of "West Side Story" (both stage and film versions) and "Gypsy," Robbins also collaborated with many stars of the ballet, including Mikhail Baryshnikov, Suzanne Farrell, Peter Martins and Jacques d'Amboise. This documentary, narrated by Ron Rifkin, provides insight into the mind as well as the work of this American treasure, who worked right up until his death in 1998. Catch it on your local PBS station. You may just be inspired to take up dance again . . . or for the very first time. (via Vanity Fair)
