i hate wet feet, wet socks, feet, and general dirtyness from the ankle down. a friend of mine told me how he thought everyone who wore rainboots had to be mildly retarded because they look so ridiculous, especially in los angeles. but mild retardation is completely okay to have if it means having dry socks.
