From the Apple site: "Transform your iPod nano into a personal workout coach with the Nike + iPod Sport Kit. This wireless sensor and receiver combination works exclusively with your Nike+ shoes and iPod nano to give you real-time feedback during workouts and let you track your performance on your Mac or PC." The program in the iPod tells you information about your current work out and your goals." I personally can't wait till somebody creates a hack program that lets you change some of the remarks that are said. They need remarks like: - Pick it up slacker - You call that running, I call it strolling - Your slower than a turtle stuck in peanut butter - No wonder why you were picked last for teams I'm sure there are plenty more that are even better!

I had started running only a few weeks before this was available and I was getting to a stage where I felt I may have stopped running as I lackedthe motivation. Then I found out about this and I love it, I run 4 times a week now and I am able to keep track of my distances and my speed which is great motivation. On top of that I have also been able to take part in a challenge and I have a goal of running 50km in 4 weeks, and the Nike website lets me see how I'm doing.

The Nike + iPod is the greatest invention to running since nike put the waffles on the bottom of shoes. I love being able to know my pace, distance, time and calories burned at the push of a button while I am running.

Nike and Apple have created Nike + tech which combines pedometers and ipod nanos. the Nike+ system consists of Nike + kit which is a litte extension that clips onto the bottom of your nano and a small sensor that fits in a special slot in select Nike + shoes. The sensor keeps track of how far your run and your time, the nano displays the results. The system is really easy to use and works amazingly well (though I wish it would count steps, not just guestimate distances since I run in the hills so the distance calculations are not going to be as accurate). It also estimates calories burned based on sex, age, and weight. Very cool. And you get to choose your own music and even a "power song" for when you really need to get fired up. A running essential

Got a athletic gadget geek on your gift list? The Nike+iPod Sport kit is a great stocking stuffer, and an ever greater addition to the (Red)iPod Nano you just bought said athletic gadget geek. Another idea? There is nothing more encouraging to a new excersize regieme than tricking yourself out with super cool gear to hype you up and get you working it out.

Makes running more fun, easier, and it gives you the results you want and the freedom to create your own regimen. Running used to be tedious, a huuuge chore, but having your favorite music with you and letting you keep track of your progress makes it all the more worthwhile.

In fencing you need to be in shape in order to keep up in a competition or just when your are training. So my coach tell us to run and lift weights and to do stretch exercises. The trued is that I prefer sprints instead of running for a very long time because I get bored and I need to run at least 30 min. so This iPod accessories and the new Nike+shoes sport kit with wireless sensor and receiver combination works with my iPod are the best thing that I could ask for ! This way I can know how many miles and calories I have burn in those 30 min. , isn't this cool ?!

My mom loves her Nano iPod and she also loves to walk. This is a good combo of music and keeping track of your workout and calories burned. Plus our 2 minute video, will guide her through how to set it up and make it work for her, so not so difficult. She will love this. You don't have to be some kind of super athlete or super geek to use the Nike + iPod. In fact, it is made so it is easy to use and it does really enhance your workout plus you look really cool. What's it like? Well, a super soothing and nice female voice, who is like your own little personal coach, will tell you when you have accomplished 10 minutes or that you only have 1 more mile to go. Your music will just fade up and down but will not stop, and you don't have to do anything but keep moving.

I use the Nike+ along with my iPod nano on every run. It is a great pedometer. You don't have to wear Nike shoes to use it. It interacts with you while you run. Tracks your performance online with an automatic sync with iTunes. This is a must have for anyone who enjoys running.

If you only read one of my recommendations, then let it be this one. I can't tell you how much I enjoy my ipod sports kit. This baby can do ALMOST everything. It provides the music and if specified the motivation to meet your goals. In the meantime it's logging your distance and pace. Later, you can upload this info online and view a graphic interpretation of your workouts. The website will record your goals and the system will notify you by audio when you achieve this goal. There is also a web function that allows you to plot & save your running course and estimates the distance based on your inputs. At the moment there is no better alternative. My own wish for this product is that Nike/Apple would create a version that also monitors your heart rate. That would truly be perfection.

When I don't use my Garmin 405 outdoors, I use the Nike+ iPod Sport Kit on the treadmill. I've used this for over a year now and it's great for tracking mileage and speed. What makes this product worth it is the Nike+ community. You can challenge friends, set goals, view graphs, etc. One bit of a warning though: once the chip battery has run out of juice, you have to buy a new chip separately down the line.

So I'm not doing so much running outside right now since it kills my throat and makes my lungs want to burst BUT when I do run I always use my Nike+ system. It's great - keeps track of your time, distance, calories burned, best run and occasionally when you break your own record some cool athlete like Lance Armstrong will congratulate you on breaking your record and doing such a great job. Neat, huh? Only $29.95

Nike+ shoes and iPod® nano sold separately; sensor will only work in enabled Nike+ shoes. Allows you to have a PowerSong for extra motivation when you need it; just press and hold center button; returns to previous playlist after. Put the sensor in your shoe and connect the receiver to your iPod nano to track every step. See real-time exercise feedback on your iPod nano screen
