I have a love-hate relationship with E.T. On the downside, I had nightmares about him until I was like 13. However, now that I have (ahem, finally gotten up the nerve) watched the movie as a young adult, I really do like it. But I still stand by the fact that E.T. is WAY too creepy-looking for kids. Especially when he's all sick and pale. I know I'm not the only one who had recurring E.T. nightmares...right?

E.T. is a sweet, feel-good movie to watch around Halloween time. My earliest memory was when E.T. dressed up as a woman with a blonde wig on. Later on, he went as a ghost for Halloween when all he need to do is to be himself for Halloween.

This movie caused mass hysteria when it came out. Lunch boxes, T shirts, candy, toys. I can't even tell you how many times I saw this in the theater. It was the only thing me and my friends talked about for a looooong time.
