Inspired by those twist-ties we've used for years to close up the trash, Heather Bailey's Trash Ties are an ingenious cross between a ponytail holder and a barrette. Their site shows them making all sorts of fancy hairstyles possible for grown-ups, but I immediately realized the world of possibilities this opens up for the styling of cornsilk-fine hair of little girls. I suspect these will become very popular as a easy alternative to barrettes that fall out and ponytail holders that pull too tightly.
