One of our favorite all-time movies, responsible for so much Madonna worship, intense glamorization of New York City, secret crushes on Richard Hell, and an eternal fondness for black jelly bracelets.
Madonna manages to have style (and a fan ! ) even when she lives out of a hatbox, dries her hair in Grand Central Station and dresses herself in thrift-store finds. She is everyone's therapist and no one's fool . . . and I think this is by far the best movie she ever made.
