Roger Linn worked with Dave Smith to produce the new LInnDrum II. I've read the reviews. I read the website updates on Roger Linn's website and I'm convinced I need to hear this. "There will be two models: the all-digital “LinnDrum II”, available from Roger Linn Design and the “LinnDrum II Analog”, which adds four analog synth voices and 32 dual-function voicing knobs, available from Dave Smith Instruments. We're currently estimating street prices of around $1400 for LinnDrum II and around $1800 for LinnDrum II Analog, and they'll be available either directly from us or from dealers at the same price." --Roger Linn.com

Readers familiar with Roger Linn's work with the Akai MPC (60) MIDI-sampler drum-machine should know the 411. I'd imagine that the LinnDrumII will have the groove and punch that an MPC has, but with new and original sounds. Why regurgitate old shit when you can innovate?
