There is not a ton of stuff out there to teach you Icelandic, but this book with accompanying CD is excellent. Let's face it, only a few hundred thousand people in the world speak Icelandic, so your local bookstore is not teeming with books to learn it, like with Spanish, French or Italian. No matter, this is an invaluable book if you're planning a trip to Iceland (it helped me get by, especially while in more inland areas), or if you want to learn the basics of a beautiful langauge that will certainly impress people at parties :) (via amazon.com)
