I have a theory that somebody gave Diplo a list of a couple dozen songs that he couldn't pull together into a single modern album, especially since many of them are not good music by today's standards. He took the challenge and pulled it off, though you'll have to let the album play for a while to really appreciate it.

Diplo is the producer behind MIA, and this mixtape is an incredible collection of remixed and mashed indie/alternative songs. He's got a distinct dub-step style that, although intense, definitely sucks you in.

I think the inspiration for this collection was a wide variety of people and places. the fact that diplo constructs such unpredictable mixes gives a new meaning to indie music. Every track is exciting and evokes a different emotion, whether it be the desire to dance or even to create your own music. you go diplo!
