I got it this year as a Valentine's Day gift from my fiance. It is the coolest camcorder I've ever owned. First off, it's tiny and I can easily fit it into my purse. Secondly, It runs on 2 AA batteries. Regular batteries!!! That alone is awesome. Third, the usb flips out, hence the name. The usb cable is probably the first thing I lose w/my other cameras/camcorders. Lastly, it is plug and play w/it's built in software. If you're an idiot like I am w/cameras and video cameras, this is for you.

How easy is it to use?
It has 4 buttons. Button on the side is for on and off. Big red button for stop and record and the control around it (like an Ipod control) is to zoom in and out, One button to play. Another button to trash the crappy vids. That's it. If you can't figure out to work this thing, you shouldn't be using a computer right now. There is a easy to use video editing program that comes with it. It's basic stuff, so if you want to be the next Scorsese, you should look elsewhere.

How's the picture quality?
There is no lag time if you're quickly panning to something else. If you have unsteady hands, this won't make you feel like you're watching the Blair Witch Project. The resolution is comparable to the more expensive stuff.

In the box?
Camera, TV cable, drawstring bag, a strap for your wrist, and instructions (which really is not needed). The packaging takes up more space in the box than anything else.

It is compact, easy to use, runs on AA batteries and downloads right into the computer.

I won't go into all the specification details because you can see those for yourself on the manufacturers website or even on Amazon which sells quite a few of them. What I want to communicate is the sheer user-friendliness and ease of use!

As advertised its so simple, but you can zoom. No lighting but captures indoor scenes well. Pity you cannot put filters over the lens, like polaroid would be useful. The only major problem is some people and myself experience sound delays (not synchronised) after the video is uploaded. But it should be solvable with software. I used it on a holiday and it was just point and shoot. Near sunset is tricky and into the sun it probably washes out as expected. Otherwise the automatic aperture is remarkable. A lens hood might be another feature it needs, but you could tape on a cardboard one!"

This is a revolutionary device when it comes to sharing videos. It has the most user-friendly software that I've ever seen. It makes sharing videos on YouTube a snap. My family across the country can now keep up with our lives because it is so easy and fast to upload videos.

The Flip Video camcorder is actually very small and it comes in tons of color. (But you'd probably won't black for your stalking purposes.) It records up to 60 minutes of video on a 2GB usb card so you don't need a dv tape or any complicated software to get it from your camera to the computer and onto MySpace.

Little black fun box! Small enough and cheap enough that you can throw it in your bag for documenting adventures saving villages, partying like a rock starlet and the like.

When the camera sometimes stays home because it's really nice and you don't want an evildoer to crush it or slosh a cocktail on it or something else dastardly and when the video camera gathers dust because it's awkward to bust up everyone's fun with a Sofia Coppola moment , the fearless and friendly Flip saves the day.

The most awesome, super-spy cam ever...EVER!!! And cheap! But not quality-wise.
