This is one of the best jig saws on the market, and it isn't even that expensive. I love the smooth feel of the machine running and the blade ejection button - no more burning your fingers on a hot blade! It's still a jig saw, however, and even though the cuts are smooth, they still tend to wander with the grain of the wood. That's why you might need a band saw too.

As I've said, we're novices, not pros -- but this fine tool helps us do work that makes it LOOK like we had the pros in! I bought the accessory pack of 30 Bosch replacement blades at the same time -- the blades are of splendid quality. All in all, a wonderful investment, even for amateurs!
