One of the best albums of 2006, and a great Sophomore attempt for the Killers who prove they are here for the long haul. "Bones", "Sam's Town" and "This River is Wild" are favorites of mine. Give it a listen!

This is the best new album out for about 2 years. After the letdown of the most recent Chili Peppers, this is hot. I love the song "Bling" which has a bit of a Springsteen feel to it. This album isn't like Hot Fuss at all. Totally new, refreshing songs. This comes at a great time, because I was getting a bit tired of the American Idiot record. Seriously, it was a good one, but its been two years!

For the Killers second album they did an about face from their New Wave inspired debut. Suddenly, the band that had always looked to England became obsessed with their American roots. Still has some really catchy songs that wend their way into your subconsciousness. Even if you're a bit disappointed that there's no "Mr. Brightside", you'll find something to love here.

At first, I hated this album. It was just so much different from Hot Fuss. But after listening to it again and again (which is kind of ironic due to the hating part), I realized that The Killers still had the same type of style as Hot Fuss, but with a much more edgier/darker feel. I would recommend picking up this cd and make sure to listen to it at least 3 or 4 times before deciding what you think.
