My grandmother had a ceiling fan much like this one - similar shape, but far less attractive - over her kitchen table for years until we begged for an upgrade. She went with something more modern, but Westinghouse's Jewel Ceiling Fan is actually very beautiful in blue and chrome (or white and chrome). And as a nod to modernity, you can get yours with a remote control, rather than a pull-string.
