Created by Marc Harrison, the Husque Bowl is made in Brisbane, Australia from macadamia nuts shells, which gives a very organic quality to the finish. I love the shape, which was also inspired by the macadamia nut, and the finish inside the bowl in a brightly colored resin. (via oO's very eclectic)

Australian designer, Marc Harrison, makes a fine range of bowls and serving-ware from macadamia nut shells.
The nut encasement is often discarded. Harrison combines an injection molding process with ground shells and a binding compound, to make these smooth Husque bowls.
The interiors are bright and remind me of candy-coated chocolates. Very touchable and clever. (via Husque)

Think of all the nut bowls you've ever seen that looks like nuts. Uniformly lame, right? This Husque Bowl, which is based on the shell of an Australian macadamia, cracks that design nut. More remarkable still, the piece is made with recycled macadamia nut shells.
