Craigslist

Remember how cool the Recycler was for finding decent used things in your area? Now, take that, make it 1000 times easier to search, and make it nationwide. That's Craigslist. You can find nearly new items for the fraction of the cost you'd pay otherwise, plus look for services, find jobs, offer jobs and many more things. It's one of those things that reminds you why the web is cool in the first place

Best way to get a quick summary of a particular community: what online users are concerned about, what the housing market is like, what sorts of employment opportunities are available, and who is single and available and how kinky are they willing to get.

Where to begin with craigslist? Visist this site if you have or will need to find an apartment/ house/ pet/ furniture/ job/ boyfriend/ girlfriend/ one night stand/ tickets/ sublet etc etc etc. This site gets two thumbs up. Thanks craigslist! (via Craigslist)

Why buy new, when you can get 2/3 off with a little effort? Scan Craig's List for quality, solid wood furniture. The secret? Be the first to email. They refresh the listings every 15 minutes.

best place to find quality freelancers. i have tried others, like mediapost, which cost 8-10x more when looking for freelancers. Compared to craigslist, the others have sucked. Craig really figured out how to leverage both network effects and social architectures to keep quality high and grow his community simultaneously (via lisaweinberger)

Great for beginner, intermediate and advanced writers…most of the gigs don’t pay much, but it’s good experience
