everyone over 15 remembers the first time they heard "surfer rosa" or "daydream nation". botw clearly does too, and tries their damnedest to sound like their feedback-heavy idols. they do a decent job, too--and better still, they manage to keep a sense of humor about their hero-worshipping.
another thank-god-it's-spring album (after decades of harsh midwestern winters, i moved baltimore, where it was 65 last week. sorry to all who had to shovel their cars out today).
