Probably the best McConaughey movie to date. Really great movie if you haven't seen it I highly recommend it.

Set in the south, a 10 year old girl is visciously brutalized by a gang of whit men and left for dead. The girls attackers aren't brought to justice. Enraged and afraid for his family's life, her father (Jackson) kills one of the men and is on trial for murder.
McConaughey takes the case and the outcome looks bleek. Not only is Jackson's character facing an all white jury, McConaughey and associates become targets of death threats.
This movie is riveting. You'll be glued to your seat.

Giving up nearly everything to fight back against violent prejudice in a small Southern town, Matthew McConaughey's character stands fast by his client and even manages to form bonds that seemed entirely out of the question at the start of the film. Violent and real, this is a thought-provoking thriller.
