Browsing on the Rewire website - which is full of rare and unique design pieces - I came across this lamp. When my husband's parents built their house in the1960's, they bought this lamp. When we moved in together, they were cleaning the basement out and passed this exact piece on to us. Little did we know what we had. And where is it right now? In the basement, unappreciated, waiting for a day when we have high enough ceilings and the right room.

I love the simplicity here. What I want in a hanging lamp is a piece that will not get in the way of dinner conversation but will present a sense of class and style. I think this one has it covered.
