Description
I found this book, I like aerials by Ian McDonnell at the Tate Modern when on a trip to London, a really novel idea which is well executed. Often ignored and over-looked, these aerials are beautifully presented in an almost anthropological fashion. This book makes you think about the power and influence of television in a different way. Whilst not saying much in terms of narration, (except for the locations of where the antennae actually sit) this is its unspoken strength. You can leaf through and enjoy the varieties that exist and how some take on different guise's ranging from a swatted fly to a sputnik satellite.
