I heard about Amy on the famous Perez Hilton site. If you love raw voices and are searching for something original then she is your girl.

Like a grown up Christina, a sadder Lily Allen, a hipper Norah Jones. Amy Winehouse is simply fabulous and gloriously cool. "Rehab" is the best song on here. Get a free listen of the ENTIRE album at http://music.aol.com/artist/amy-winehouse/612371/video. If you're short on time, then I would recommend just listening to "Rehab". It's a great, great, great, great song.

This CD alone is worth it for the awesome song Rehab (although the entire CD is great). Amy Winehouse is an amazing British singer with a smoky voice (think Sarah Vaughn or Billie Holiday) and a penchant for tattoos, booze and bad behavior. I think Rehab besides having Amy's awesome vocals is a great commentary on the people using Rehab as an excuse to all the problems in their life (oh, I gained a pound, better go to rehab.....opps I swore, off to rehab I go....anyway you get the picture). If I did karaoke Rehab would be the song I would rock!

My initial thoughts were: Who is this chick and what's up w/ her eye liner? Once I got over her makeup mishaps, I really enjoyed this cd. She sounds like a young version of Carole King, singing the lyrics of today. PLUS- She's playing at the Virgin Festival this August.

Amy Winehouse is no ordinary jezebel she has the voice of a soulstress...distressed, angry, bitter, jaded and brutally honest! One of my favorite blogs agrees she is truly gifted even if she has become sort of a tabloid victim. She can carry a tune like no other songstress of our time! I love this album! Give it to someone who's into Amy, jazz, the blues, or music in general...I haven't met one person who hasn't liked her music so far!

Winehouse if you haven't heard her has a voice that sounds way beyond her years. Bluesy, soulful... just great tubes..... Worth the listen (just don't read all the gossip about her) ... listen to her for her music!

I must admit I'm not one to stay on top of the pop music scene, but one album I did invest in this year was Amy Winehouse's Back to Black. We've all seen this tabloid queen in action this year, but if you haven't given her Grammy-nominated album a listen, you're missing out. Her soulful voice transports you back to a time when music was about someone's voice and not computers. It's no surprise she's also nominated for Best New Artist. This album also features the nominated Record of the Year Rehab - whether she's in or out of treatment, I hope she wins a Grammy this year. Update: 5 Grammy's for Ms. Winehouse! Don't stay in rehab too long, we need you.

I don't know what's happened to my darling little (once curvaceous) Amy Winehouse, but her voice still does it for me.

When I first heard this CD, I was a little angry that the songs were so short! As soon as I'd really get into a jam, it'd cut off! Even with that said, it's an awesome CD that I never get tired of hearing. My fav is Love is a Losing Game.

there is no one with more vocal talent than Any Winehouse. though her image isn't impeccable and she is far from perfect, her voice is always redeeming. She has so much passion and soul without trying, so much raw talent that it's incredible, watch any one of her videos- live or not, and just watch her as she sings. She doesn't even lift a finger when she sings, she can do so much with her voice. I honestly love this cd and her voice so much. go to youtube and look up 'Amy Winehouse Valerie'- it will rock your world.
