LIVE FAST DIE YOUNG! TRAINSPOTTING IS NOTHING SHORT OF SPECTACULAR! IF YOU COULD FALL DOWN A FLIGHT OF STAIRS AND ENJOY IT IT WOULD BE THE STORY IN THIS FILM! EWAN MCGREGOR AND JOHNNY LEE MILLER DELIVER WITH A STRAIGHT GUT SHOT! THE DRUG LIFE IS A HARD KNOCK LIFE AND ITS GOT ITS UPS AND DOWNS!

Everything about this movie works - from the script that's been pared down from the meandering, multi-voiced novel by Irvine Welsh to the energetic performances by the cast led by Ewan McGregor and Robert Carlyle to the beautifully dismal cinematography to the brilliant soundtrack that easily stands on its own. It's certainly not everyone's cup of tea, but Trainspotting is a classic in my book.

It's not easy to watch, nor easy to forget once you have but it's an experience not to be missed.

the fan fare the movie got is nothing compared to how good this book is. the dialogue is written in a cockney accent so there will be times you have to read it to yourself out loud but its totally worth the effort to read this amazing story.

A frightening look into heroin addicts in Edinburgh. Don't let it scare you - it's not for the weary but it's a great film.

I have seen this movie probably about 3 or 4 dozen times. This was my favorite movie during high school. Ewan McGregor is awesome. This is one movie that manages to entertain me and freak me the hell out (that damn baby kills me every time).
