This is one of those "buy for them" "but really for me" kind of gift. Yes, I want to get this for my kid. Yes, I want to play with it when he gets it. Sounds a little selfish, but we can look at it positively by calling it "bonding time." Yeah, that sounds much better. $150

24" tall second generation Robosapien is now capable of autonomous behavior with sight, sound and touch senses. He has humanoid body movements including, bending, sitting, standing, lying down and getting up, waving and martial arts. Responds verbally to environmental stimuli and to controller commands. Color vision system: recognizes colors and skin tones; interacts with objects and people. IR Vision: detects and avoids obstacles and table edges. Tracks moving objects. True bi-pedal walking with multiple gaits. Precision gripping with articulated fingers.

He's a luxury holiday gift for your kid, but he scares me to death!! This Robosapien walks on his own, he can move each arm independently, and his hands can grab, pick up, and throw light objects, such as the included bowling balls and pins. He even comes preprogrammed with a selection of dance moves. So if you hear something moving about in the middle of the night, it's probably not a burglar, just Robosapien finding his way around your home. (via pimburg)
