Zulu Wire Deep Funnel Bowl: Fair Trade and Hand-Woven
Men of the zulu tribe have started weaving baskets out of a most unusual material: telephone wire. This tradition was apparently started by men working the nightshift at factories as a way to utilize the recycled wire that was essentially trash. It has now become quite an art, and the Fair Trade sale of these beautiful bowls helps Zulu men stay on their tribal land instead of having to migrate away to cities to look for work. Amazing!!
