If you know someone who drools over the latest Helvetica calendar or antique newspapers and posters, this is the gift for them.

Letterpress printing utilizes individual letter blocks being arranged into pages, then inked and pressed onto paper. This leaves an indent that is very attractive to artisan printers. These individual pendants are from an old style printing press, mounted in a sterling silver setting to be worn on a necklace, most likely an initial or symbol that is meaninful to the wearer. For men who aren't fans of accessories but enjoy the aesthetic, consider hanging the pendant from a key chain!

They are original woodblocks actually used on printing presses, complete with ink stains. Not just an adornment, they were once functional as well. Available in all 26 letters, numbers 1 - 9, question mark, ampersand, exclamation point, and dollar sign, created by designer Ward Wallau.

I am the typographic geek of whom you speak in your recommendation . . . I would love to own my own letterpress, but would gladly settle for one of these necklaces. Perfect pick !

A cool necklace featuring the initial of your choice. Love the aesthetic here, though the chain could be a little bit more upscale. But nevertheless, what a great gift idea.
