Red Wing x J Crew Boots

Description
It took me a while to find my pair of Redwing 1905 Centennials. The local store (can you believe we have one in my small town?) only sells them to regular customers but the owner made an exception for me. Or he was lying. Anyway, this collaboration with J Crew looks great. There are two colorways and the soles are a nice dark color which is easier to keep clean than the cream/white soles on mine. Look at their catalog or do a google search to see how a distressed pair looks then immediately go order yourself a pair.

PUMA XR Runner Textile II

Description
I almost always wear limited edition or exclusive kicks. When I saw this pair, I was prepared to hunt them down but luckily, Zappos carries it. With an easy return policy that includes shipping, and the gift certificate my friend gave me for Christmas, this is a no brainer.
I love the colorway and materials of this sneaker. I think it is unique enough to draw attention but not so out there to draw too much criticism or questions.

Staple Design - Pigeon Shirt
First to recommend
Description
The only shoe that can claim it incited a riot during it's release, the Staple Pigeon is iconic in sneaker history. You probably don't/won't own the kicks, but get this shirt for a piece of history.

Vasque Kota XCR Mid Hiking Boots - Men's
First to recommend
Description
Let's face it, most of the hiking we do is not through treacherous terrain nor is it for very long distances. I just went on a 2 hour hike on Monday and this is the pair of boots I had on my feet. They are what I'd call mid-tops and the "teeth" do a great job gripping the terrain. They serve me well and will keep you trekking along as well.

Book of Warriors
First to recommend
Description
A curious graphic design student from Helsinki saw a pair of Warrior basketball sneakers during a trip to China. He wondered about their history and learned that they were sought after in the 70's but now pretty much forgotten, except for the lower class who still love to wear them. He returned a year later (2007) and documented the shoes on the feet of the common folk. The work is assembled into a hardbound book and comes with a pair of the iconic shoes.

Red Wing Shoes Gentleman Traveler

Description
These boots are blowing up on the boards right now. They are a timeless design and the leather is glossy yet rugged at the same time. It would go great with a pair of heavy denim. No skinny stuff here fellas. When you get some good wear in, protect it with a good shoe cream and you're set. I also can't recommend this vendor enough. Zappos is the best. Bar none.

Alife Public Outrage
First to recommend
Description
You have to hand it to the NY brand ALIFE. They somehow managed to not only launch a successful clothing line but also a footwear line that has resulted in exclusive offerings at Barneys. I give Barneys credit in this venture too. That takes some foresight. And balls.
This pair of Public Outrage is obviously stolen from Vans. However, Vans colorways are generally not this aggresive or interesting. Black spots, bold red, and light yellow make a great combo, if you can pull it off.
