Area Alma Heather Grey blanket
First to recommend
2 people recommended this item
Description
I think Area is more prepared for the fall and winter than I am. Granted, it is currently still in the 70’s in San Francisco and we could all probably pull off summer attire for the next month or two, but when stormy weather attacks you must be prepared. And that, my friends, is where Area is ready. They have a fantastic assortment of blanket and throw options to add to your bed or sofa. The Alma blanket has always been a crowd pleaser and is now offered in a handsome Heather Grey. If you need more color, consider the Thinner Olive & Stone Throw (my favorite), the Sixteen Burgundy & Stone Throw, the Quarter Orange & Stone Throw, or perhaps one of the more subtle yet sophisticated Oliver or Harry Blankets. Now is as good a time as any to get your warm on. Find the Area blanket that suites your warming needs (via Design Public)

Jefdesigns Screen Printed Wood Art Panel - Gorgonia
First to recommend
Description
Without question, jefdesigns has taken my love for wood paneling up a notch. Joe Futschik combines the quality and character I worship in wood with beautiful modern screen printed imagery. The detail in his screen printing is astonishing and the colors are perfect complements to the warm woods. The only issue: these are limited edition, signed and numbered pieces so they won’t be around for long. Oh gosh, I think I am drooling. (via Design Public)

Unison Martin Rectangular Pillow
First to recommend
Description
Unison has just added a few new pillow color options to their Track, Martin, and Roll lines that take on a more natural, neutral tone (khaki, graphite and stone). I have always been very partial to pillows that are not your typical size or shape. The only tricky part in using lots of different sized pillows is keeping the pillow pile simple and not overly cluttered. Thank goodness Robert Segal and Alicia Rosauer are minimalists at heart and have created pillows that help to tackle this headache. (via Design Public)

Fatboy Original Marimekko Unikko Cobalt
First to recommend
Description
Imagine sitting, reclining or perching on an immensely large beanbag covered in a designer fabric that has been admired in the design world since the mid 60’s. The combination goes together about as nice as peanut butter and jelly. But, lo! What happens if you spill a bit of your PB&J on the Fatboy Marimekko-Unikko in Cobalt? No worries! The easy to clean nylon material has a special coating and can be rubbed with a damp cloth...it'll be good as new. Pure genius (with style). (via Design Public)

Brave Space Design's Coat Range
3 people recommended this item
Description
Not only would this Mountain Coat Range from Brave Space be a favorite of Bob Ross, John Denver and Grizzly Adams it would also be the grand focal point in the teeny tiny apartment of Ali from Design Public. Living in the bay area is great, no doubt, but I do miss the majestic Rocky Mountains after living in Colorado for so many years. Although the mountain peaks are intended to symbolize the Grand Tetons, I can see my good ol’ Rockies in the rack. If only we had to wear lots of coats, mittens, hats and scarves in California. notNeutral Links Dinnerware
2 people recommended this item
Description
The new notNeutral dinnerware collections recently made me think about my eating habits. Not in terms of how much and what I eat, but more so in terms of what I have been eating on. I look in my cupboard at my dish set and I see shelves filled with simple white pieces that lack character. I think I need to add a little spice to my collection! notNeutral couldn’t be a better resource for my blank canvas/plate dilemma. Their bold assortment of dinnerware adds a fun pinch of “not so neutral” color and design to the kitchen/dining room. But, notNeutral doesn’t stop with dishware, oh no! Their striking graphics can be found on pillows, wall panels, cork boards, snack sets and beyond. Find the notNeutral piece that pleases your palate on DP. (via Design Public)

Fritillaria Wood Art Panel
First to recommend
Description
Joe Futschik, designer and owner of jefdesigns, has released a special edition silkscreen image in honor of his mother who died earlier this year from ovarian cancer. I feel like it is rare for a day to pass by without hearing about someone who has developed or is struggling with cancer. I am sure I could count a good handful or more of my own close friends or family who have fought the disease, and with each person I think it is utterly important to recognize and honor what they have gone through, a celebration in some form that immortalizes their character. Simply stated, I find Joe's tribute to his mother awe inspiring and beautiful.
50% of all sales of the jefdesigns Screen Printed Wood Art Panel- Fritillaria will be donated to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. (via Design Public)

Lucky Jade Owl Cotton Cashmere Blanket
First to recommend
Description
Leslie Pitts of Lucky Jade has furthered my appreciation for owl imagery with her Owl Cotton/Cashmere Blanket. I think my emotional connection towards owls stems from two main things from my youth: 1.) an old skool bedside owl lamp that I would use to read stories before drifting to sleep 2.) the inquisitive owl from Tootsie Pop commercials. I am sure it is not just me, but if you combine the wise, old, nostalgic owl with cotton and cashmere, you have one heck of an amazing baby blanket.
Don’t have quite the same connection to owls as I do? Perhaps your baby would enjoy Feathers, Twiggs, Trees, or maybe a hoodie instead. Cozy up to all Lucky Jade items on DP. (via Design Public)
