JR Watkins Lemon Furniture Polish

First to recommend

Description

I have been looking for a replacement for my dreaded Pledge. The fragrance of the stuff is enough to make my head spin (literally) not to mention the not-so-eco-friendly aerosol container it comes in. JR Watkins' version of furniture polish is all natural so you won't be inhaling any chemically citrus smell, only the natural scent of lemons. It is derived from all natural olive oil, and removes fingerprints, smudges, and dirt from finished, unfinished, and natural wood, formica, particle board, and vinyl.

For anyone who uses Pledge, this is a much needed replacement!

Seventh Generation Lavender Liquid Dish Detergent

4 people recommended this item

Description

This earth-friendly dish liquid smells and works great without any harmful chemicals or residues for you and your household. This set of 12 bottles is a great deal, plus saves packaging by buying in bulk. Why not? You're always going to need dish liquid!

"Unlike many conventional dish detergents, the Seventh Generation Liquid Dish Detergent does not create unpleasant fumes, will not leave harmful residues, and is safer for the environment. Plant-derived cleaners are made from renewable resources rather than from petroleum. Studies show that making household cleaners from plant-derived materials uses less energy than making the same cleaners from petroleum. Using less energy helps reduce emissions of greenhouse gases.

If every household in the U.S. replaced just one 25-ounce bottle of petroleum based dishwashing liquid with this plant-derived product, we could save 86,000 barrels of oil--enough to heat and cool 4,900 U.S. homes for a year!"

Great all natural, earth friendly, and safe spray to use to keep the mildew and soapscum at bay! Way safer than those other products that spread toxic chemicals all over your bathroom, Method's cleaner is safe and effective. I do a quick mist after every shower and my shower looks spiffy. Plus, cleaning (when I do it) is a breeze.

Caldrea Citrus Mint Ylang Ylang Powdered Scrub

2 people recommended this item

Description

This scrub effectively cleans your kitchen and bathroom without the abrasive chemicals. The all natural cleaner comes in so many yummy scents - be sure to check them all out. I always hate using Comet to clean my sink because it makes me dizzy and dries out my hands, so it must be harmful to me. What a great find!

Gaiam: Dryer Balls

3 people recommended this item

Description

I love these dryer balls. I got them as a Christmas gift (my family knows my eco-friendly nature) and have used them tons. I feel so much better knowing that my clean clothes aren't laden with chemicals from my dryer sheets anymore. Not to mention the waste those single-use sheets produce. Even liquid fabric softener is mostly chemicals. Who wants to put on a clean shirt and have to think about which chemicals they are absorbing through their skin that day, anyways?

"As your wet laundry tumbles in the dryer, these bumpy balls lift and separate fabric to make it soft and fluffy, and allow air to flow more efficiently. Proven to make ironing easier, decrease lint and reduce drying time up to 25% in independent testing."

Method Window + Glass Microfiber Cloths

6 people recommended this item

Description

I asked a hotel housekeeper once what her secret was to get the rooms so clean, so quickly. She said it was all microfiber. Microfiber towels are literally millions of microscopic fibers that grip on to dirt and bacteria. Instead of pushing dirt around (like paper towels do), these towels soak it up and get almost every type of surface squeaky clean, quickly. Best part? They are machine washable, so you can use them over and over and over.
