About this list:

Color is everywhere this season, but I am also seeing some interesting patterns in black and white. Not to mention, I am seeing a bumper crop of LBDs (little black dresses) that are just as jaw-droppingly gorgeous as anything in flowers or geometrics. As more of the fall's fashions are revealed, I hope to add even more finds to this list. Stay tuned to this noir channel . . .

Although much more figure-flattering than some of the suits Esther Williams wore, this black one-piece reminds me of the gorgeously feminine details of her swimwear. The lily detail and the square neckline distinguish this suit from so many of the other black suits I have seen recently, making it one of my favorites this season.

This women's hat is a little easier to try, if you are having some doubts. A little less conspicuous in black and white, it won't call as much attention to you as a broader brimmed, more colorful version would. Yet, it still has loads more pizazz than your average baseball hat.

Born in Boston, I will always consider it my hometown. Even though I never lived within the city limits, I have a visceral connection to the people, the sports teams and the history of the place. In fact, the "Boston Tea Party" is the event that inspired the name of tee shirt list.
