Angus Young Action Figure

First to recommend

Description

Ok, there is a whole personal thing that goes along with this that I won't get into about how every year for the past decade I've found myself daydreaming about being at this concert (in the front row) when Angus gets the stomach flu. The band's manager slips out from behind the curtain and walks up to whisper something in my ear. My friends are all shocked, having no idea I know the band. I disappear only to reappear moments later onstage in thigh high boots and holding a guitar. There is also something involving a backflip that is perfectly timed to the music. But like I said, I'm not getting into that here.

The Only Digital Camera Swim Mask

6 people recommended this item

Description

My daughter is SO excited about this! And come to think of it, so am I. Imagine a pool party this summer where you have one or two of these for your guests to play with.... the result? One of the best home movies you'll ever create, I'd imagine. Actually, I'd even bet money on it. Real money.

The 5MP camera has a memory upgrade slot as well so you're only limited in how many pictures you take by the size of your card.

From the site:
The 5 MP camera can operate to a depth of 15', making it ideal for use when snorkeling or in swimming pools. The masks eye pieces are made of tempered glass and have integrated crosshairs that allow you to line up shots easily; simply press the shutter button to take pictures or videos. An LED inside the mask tells you if you are in still picture or video mode. Downloading images is as easy as plugging in the mask to your PCs or Macs USB port (USB cable included)the included software allows you to edit your content. Its built-in 16 MB memory can store up to 30 high- resolution pictures (2560 x 1920) or up to 52 seconds of video. A microSD card slot allows you to expand memory for additional pictures or videos. Requires two AAA batteries. Ages 8 and up. (via thegreenhead)

Bar Compass

Description

I have a closet in my front hall with a big box.

I was tempted to let that sentence stand alone as the full description just to add some mystery to the post but figured I'd be the only one entertained. So here's the rest:

In that box is a hodgepodge of random stuff I grab when it's on clearance. It's where I run when I suddenly realize I have to be at a party in an hour and not only "don't have a thing to wear" but worse, "didn't get a thing for the hostess."

So I grab a bottle of wine (that's one thing I ALWAYS have in the house ; )~ ) and a tschotske like this, nabbed on clearance just like the one above, and Voila! The mundane become clever and- more importantly- turns "thoughtless" into "thoughtful." My bottle suddenly becomes distinguished by its random flare- a nifty dial-a-drink bar compass dangling from a ribbon I scalped from the Christmas present shrapnel left under the tree by the kids. Kissy kissy to me for my cleverness....

If he wants to act like a child, fine. If he wants to chase 'tail,' fine. While all the other dads "ooh" and "aah" over their new iPhones on Father's Day, he can play with this.

Toe Tag Tie and other Ties for Doctors

First to recommend

Description

My ex-husband was a doctor so I have spent 15 years keeping an eye out for ridiculous apparel in that theme. He likes to, in his OWN words, "look like a jackass. Hee. Hee hee." Sigh.

To that end..... the Toe Tag tie.
Also added pictures of some other doctor-themed ties on the site. Love the Descending Shoulder....

A fun flask. Not good for children. I could make some off-beat jokes here, but I'm going to subside. I'll leave that up to you when you show your friends your new toy.

Priority Pass VIP Airport Lounge Access

First to recommend

Description

What an AWESOME gift idea for the travelista on your list! An annual fee grants you access to over 500 International (100 Domestic) airport VIP lounges and gives you the option of paying per visit to bring an additional guest. What does that mean? Well think "free Internet, drinks and snacks" for one thing. Comfy chairs, private bathrooms for freshening up.... oh so many yummy perks to make airport travel more luxe.

Love it!
