Robosapien Version 2 Humanoid Robot

Description
This is one of those "buy for them" "but really for me" kind of gift. Yes, I want to get this for my kid. Yes, I want to play with it when he gets it. Sounds a little selfish, but we can look at it positively by calling it "bonding time." Yeah, that sounds much better. $150
24" tall second generation Robosapien is now capable of autonomous behavior with sight, sound and touch senses. He has humanoid body movements including, bending, sitting, standing, lying down and getting up, waving and martial arts. Responds verbally to environmental stimuli and to controller commands. Color vision system: recognizes colors and skin tones; interacts with objects and people. IR Vision: detects and avoids obstacles and table edges. Tracks moving objects. True bi-pedal walking with multiple gaits. Precision gripping with articulated fingers.

Fully fiunctional remote control helicopter that is small enough to be extremely annoying in the office or at family gatherings. Of course, I immediately wanted it for myself! Notice the twin propellers? That's for improved control of this baby. $90

You're used to seeing these on adults up in the mountains, but you probably never guessed they'd be a load of fun for kids. I think this replaces the can and string gizmo we used to create to talk at distance. $20

My Own Moon

Description
This cool wall display can be controlled by a remote to show all the phases of the moon. I'm a big fan of the Discovery Store for kids products. They try to keep their toys and fun things true to the real thing, which is nice.
I think this works as a really cool mood lamp for the hallway or entertainment room. Lots of moons on the walls would be very trippy, but cool. $30
