Joy by Mel Lim: Dragonfly & Goldfish Gift Boxes

4 people recommended this item

Description

No need to advertise you were a little "less motivated" to spend time wrapping gifts this year. Gift boxes are the way to go. Beautiful gift boxes are even better, because the recipient can reuse the box for other things, like jewelry, trinkets or love letters. Although not officially eco-friendly because they are not made of recycled materials, gift boxes are more sustainable because they will be reused for years to come, therefore, creating less waste.

On another note, I particularly love these boxes for their design subjects. Both the koi and the dragonfly have significance in Asian myths. The koi symbolizes wealth and the dragonfly a messenger from the heavens. (via hiphostess)

warhol gift wrap

Description

Andy Warhol's art makes for great gift wrap paper. The bold colors and large images create great graphic that wraps around a box nicely, to create a story in itself. Add a complementary ribbon and you have the gift that will catch all the attention under the tree. (via brunurb)

Whimsy - Dude Wrap

7 people recommended this item

Description

These are so excellent. Though called "Dude Wrap", I agree with nexter Caro that it's not just for dudes. I don't recommend giving this to kids. I doubt they know what Space Invaders is. Think about it. That was maybe 22 years ago. Oh, why on Earth did I just remind us all how old we are? (via autbeep)
