Hoegaarden, both unique and very refreshing, is an authentic Belgian wheat beer. In fact, it is the original “Wit” beer! First brewed in 1445, this top-fermented beer is refermented in the bottle or keg. Hoegaarden has a distinctive, cloudy yellow color and a uniquely refined taste that balances a slight spiciness from a touch of coriander and orange peel. I'm not usually a beer type of girl, but this one I truly enjoy - especially on a warm summer night!

This dry and purplish red coloured red showcases a simple nose releasing floral and fruity scents. You will be charmed with this light-bodied wine revealing a broad texture, smooth tannins and a medium finish.

This red wine is a favortie of many people I know. An affordable classic!

This has to be one of my favourite things on this earth - I swear! :) @ 260 calories per 'tall' cup, I would not have one per day - but I appreciate it even more when I do allow myself to sip on one!

A spicy drink of black tea infused with cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper and star anise blended with ice, topped with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Cuban Mojito Recipe

So refreshing, so good... When it's mixed just right! :)

1 teaspoon powdered sugar
Juice from 1 lime (2 ounces)
4 mint leaves

1 sprig of mint
Havana Club white Rum (2 ounces)
2 ounces club soda

Place the mint leaves into a long mojito glass (often called a "collins" glass) and squeeze the juice from a cut lime over it. You'll want about two ounces of lime juice, so it may not require all of the juice from a single lime. Add the powdered sugar, then gently smash the mint into the lime juice and sugar with a muddler (a long wooden device pictured below, though you can also use the back of a fork or spoon if one isn't available). Add ice (preferably crushed) then add the rum and stir, and top off with the club soda (you can also stir the club soda in as per your taste). Garnish with a mint sprig.

If you haven't tried it yet, I highly suggest keeping a bottle of Hpnotiq (pronounced hypnotic) in your liquor cabinet. This ocean blue tropical liqueur is a nice blend of vodka, cognac and just the right fruits, that is a great substitute for blue curaçao to create a myriad of blue cocktails. Straight or on the rocks, martini or margarita, this is an extremely versatile liqueur that you can enjoy however you prefer. As a fan of superior web design, I must also encourage you to view Hpnotiq's website which is one of the best sites I have seen and is all about style. They have great recipes listed there too!

Horray for Hollywood!

1 oz. Vodka
1 oz. Chambord
1 oz. Pineapple Juice

Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice. Mix well and strain in to a chilled cocktail glass.
