Spot On Square Hiya Rocker

First to recommend

Description

The Hiya series is named after Bob & Nicole's son... a nickname given to him by his twin sister as soon as she could utter her first words. The Hiya Rocker is painted with an eco-friendly non-toxic paint and has a book bin in the back for storage of books or art gear. The seat is extra wide to allow for two small kids to read a book together. (via Design Public)

Fauna Kuma Bear - Arrow

First to recommend

Description

Fauna's animalistic tendencies spring to life with his latest organic cotton Kuma Bear. These soon-to-be collectibles can nestle snug against your classic heirloom teddy bear in its glass case. But don't put them away now! Leave them out for admiration of Warholian color vibrance and hand sewn craftsmanship. Feel free to pet-name, but their given names are Zig, Zag, Cedar, Feather, Dot and Arrow which in my opinion, pretty accurately describe their personality and print. The Fauna Kuma Bear is available here at Design Public. (via Design Public)

Casa Kids Ola! Crib

First to recommend

Description

How often do you see a crib like the Casa Kids Ola! Crib? If you do your research you’ll realize not too often. This crib is a triple threat if I’ve ever seen one…the crib converts to both a toddler bed and a twin bed. As your child outgrows the Ola! Crib, the vertical side rails can be easily replaced with hardwood conversion rails, creating the new, playful Ola! Toddler Bed. And what do you do with the side rails you removed? Send them to the landfill? Nope, they become the headboard and footboard of a new Ola! Twin Bed, to be used throughout adolescence or as a great guest bed. Such longevity and a great financial investment! (via Design Public)

InModern Surfin Side / End Table

First to recommend

Description

The green wave is not always an easy thing to catch hold of when we are surrounded by so many consumer goods that are not sustainable, but InModern does a mighty fine job of helping folks join the momentum. (Whoa, that was a pretty heavy surfing analogy. I apologize!). Case in point: the Surfin Side/End Table. The table is simple, it is smart with regards to style and design, and it is so sustainable it practically defines the word. (via Design Public)

Oeuf Sparrow Crib Conversion Rail

First to recommend

Description

Thank you, Oeuf Sparrow Crib Conversion Rail, for extending the life of such an awesome crib for a few more years. I was just home visiting my 2.5 year old niece and the little gal is starting to use a real bed, but the transition hasn’t been easy. She is actually using the top portion of a bunk bed that I used while growing up complete with carvings in the wood, stickers in hidden spots, etc. I think it helped knowing that the bed was once mine, but I think it would have been much easier for her to transition “to a big girl bed” if her crib converted into a toddler bed. Boodalee Throw Pillow - Circus

First to recommend

Description

I am all for elements in a home that have more than one look to them, like the Boodalee Throw Pillows. Why limit yourself to just one image when folks like designer Jeanice Skvaril give you the option to change it up? Some days you might be feeling squirrel-ish…other days you feel homely (i.e. a bird house). Some days you are all about popcorn…others you feel like an elephant. Just turn the pillow over and shazam! The change is made. (via Design Public)

Fauna Kids Long Sleeve T-Shirt - Dachshund

First to recommend

Description

Ross Menuez knows how to cultivate the next breed of dachshund lovers…put a Fauna Dachshund Shirt on your child at a very young age and you’ve got ‘em hooked. I’d have to say that out of most dog shapes and sizes, the dachshund group does have one of the most interesting forms. Thus, I’m totally in favor of sporting a Fauna Dachshund t-shirt along side an OFFI Dachshund My Pet Lamp (if you’re Dachshund obsessed). (via design public)

OFFI Kapsule chair

First to recommend

Description

If I was a child and my parents deprived me of the candy consuming luxury, I would plead with my mom/pop to get me an OFFI Kapsule Chair instead. The bright and delicious colors of the chairs remind me of a massive sugar loaded lolly, but without the calories/cavities. I am always partial to orange flavored lollies, but grape, razzledazzle berry, and sour apple would suffice (in that order) upon the event that orange was unavailable. Better yet, why not make it a complete candy store with all four chairs? So delectable! (via Design Public)

Mod Mom Furniture Bertie Toy Box

First to recommend

Description

Mod Mom Furniture’s Bertie Toy Box makes me chuckle inside when I look at the big chick body on the scrawny little legs. Love those legs! Bertie’s body has such a simple and somewhat abstract form yet she still has a ton of character and charm. Now that I take a second look, if the Bertie’s body were painted green, I think we’d have a bonafied Design Public peep!
