Spring Cleaning - a list by roguedesigns

About this list:

Nothing says spring to me more than an overwhelming urge to clear out, declutter and clean. Right around this time every year I start piling up bags of cast away clothes and tchotchkies, buying up organizational gadgets and gimmicks and new cleaning supplies in droves and dreaming of garage sales.

White 2-drawer mesh

Description

I just got this to go under my horribly chaotic bathroom sink. It came very close to not fitting, but does by literally, a hair, and is so fantastically wonderful. Now I can have stuff in the back, and still get to it without having to clear out everything in front of it. I should've gotten two.

I snatched up two of these bad boys, and may have to go back for more. At under $10 each, why the heck not?
I live in a fairly typical old SF building with really tall ceilings, which means tons of unused space in the top of my closet that's really tough to get to. I currently have big plastic tubs up there, but can't go any higher or I'd never be able to get anything down. I'm hoping brilliant organization like this will help me get rid of the tubs and utilize more of that space.
But right now they're still in my trunk. . . .

Bed Risers

Description

I just picked up some wooden ones like this from Bed Bath & Beyond for $20. As I've mentioned previously, I've got a lot of crap under my bed, and lifting it up a few inches makes it much easier to get said crap in and out.
The drawback is that now my dust ruffle is too short and you can see all the crap down there.
Next up, shopping for longer dust ruffles!

I also picked up a "2-cube" set for said closet organization. I have no idea whether or not it will actually be useful yet, but I have high hopes.

Swiffer Wet Jet

Baised on the praises this little purple lovechild has received from my parents, I decided to pick one up to replace the two other Swiffer/Mr. Clean sticks I have clogging up my hall closet. Those things piss me off to no end, and somehow, I think this will be so much better, and at twice the price it had better be. Here's hoping that my floors will soon be as clean as I'd like them with a very minimal amount of effort on my part.

If it's good enough for Martha and her sisal, it's certainly good enough for when clumsy house guests spill their drinks on MY sisal.
