About this list:
As a graphic designer myself, I have a natural affinity for poster design. It is one of the most fun, yet also most difficult, projects a designer can be involved in. To do it right one has to pare things down to the most essential elements, and then prepare to fight off the suits yelling for bursts, special callouts, little-to-no white space, and "action colors". Well... this is just one of the best examples of lettering and typographic design that I've seen in a long time. In 2007 designer Moctezuma posted this on gigposters.com, which has over 100,000 examples of posters designed for musicians and bands and their concert events. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite sites with such a variety of styles and subjects you'll just be blown away!

I've always loved this stunning poster... for 1927 this film was way ahead of it's time and so was this design. Too cool for words.

One of the greatest movies of all time, directed by the master Sir Alfred Hitchcock and released in 1959. This poster was designed by Saul Bass, one of the all-time greats in the world of graphic design. Great movies deserve great posters to publicize them, and this one delivers in a big way.
