Recycled Market Bag

Description
Recycle- while you recycle!
With all the fashionistas snatching up the "I am not a plastic bag" totes (which will most likely house their magazine collections and makeup rather than be reused for grocery and market purchases), the rest of us can pick up these SUPER-do-gooder bags!
Made from recycled rice and feed bags used to carry goods in Southeast Asia, these bags have been reconstructed and dyed by hand by Cambodian workers. They are Fair-Trade Certified, and no two are alike! Keep a few in the car for gorcery runs and trips to the farmer's market, and pack one flat in your suitcase when traveling, to carry extra souveniers when you return! Use it to tote towels and a change of clothes to the beach or the pool this summer! Pack them full of goodies for your organization's charity raffle, or as the housing of a unique gift basket, to show your company's support and commitment towards Fair Trade operations, and the use of reusable resources. Be at the head of the pack while going green!
So while you're reducing waste by using reusable bags, you're also helping to support a community that thrives by producing one-of-a-kind wares from existing resources. Everyone wins! (via UncommonGoods)

Karma Komba Solid Shampoo Bar
First to recommend
Description
As a frequent traveler, I'm always looking for ways to streamline my packing, and pay attention to what items really are *essential* for both business and pleasure trips. I also hate to check my luggage, something that has become a little more difficult because of the TSA's restrictions on the size and amount of liquids allowed in carry-on bags.
The best way I've found to maximize my quart-size bag is to carry as many solid items as possible, something LUSH is great for! This Karma Komba solid shampoo bar may look innocent enough, but it packs a punch in lather and dreamy scent! A few swipes across wet hair and you've got a festival of yummy bubbles on your head! I was suspicious at first, as my hair is long, thick, and tangles easily- but I was in love after the first use. They even have a small tin available, to keep it dry and travel easily! This is now a staple of my travel toiletry kit- leaving more room for another 2oz bottle of SPF50 for my summer trips.
A variety of other scents are available for different hair conditions, and are made fresh with all natural (and often VEGAN friendly) ingredients! A single shampoo bar will last you for months, so give 'em a try! (via Lush)
