Description

Yes, it's pop. Yes, it's JT. Yes, it makes you want to dance. Most of all, though? It really is a fantastic album. It's so well done, it kinda hurts. I always considered it a guilty pleasure, but lately, I don't really mind that people know that I had to buy a second copy because I broke the first one due to listening to it too much. It's not just the first track, it's ALL the album. It's really, really good.

Moby: Play

Description

I'm not a big fan of electronica or music that doesn't involve singing a lot, but this album is really good. It makes you go through a process, up-beat and calm songs take you on a journey where you get to know new sounds and way of working in music. hear it

The Sound of Music (Five Star Collection)

Description

It might be easier to come up with a list of reasons NOT to love The Sound of Music than to come up with a list of reasons to love it. I mean, what's not to love about this movie? It's got it all: a guitar-playing heroine who can make clothing out of old drapes, children who sing and then march off to bed, and a dreamy-eyed hero.

Just in case we're limited as to how long we can blather on in these reviews, I'm going to tell you the thing I love most about this movie: the scene in the Pavillion.

Sigh.

I don't want to spoil the moment for the three people on the planet who haven't seen the movie, heard about the movie, or read about the movie yet, so I'm not going to say anything more except this: everyone should own a copy of this movie (even die-hard cynics -- especially die-hard cynics), because it's a classic, feel-good movie. Enough said.
